Book Review: A Thousand Tomorrows by Karen Kingsbury

A Thousand Tomorrows by Karen Kingsbury is definitely my favorite novel of all time. I know there are far better novels written, but this certain book have captured my heart ever since the first time I have laid my eyes on it in the bookstore. When I saw it during my freshmen years in high school, I immediately saved up for it and bought it the following week. The best thing was it did not let me down. I swear, every part of the book is still with me up to this day, even if I have lost the book itself from my numerous apartment transfers in the past few…

    Weight Loss Options

Most people I know are desperate to lose weight, especially now that summer has come. Those people I know have considered dieting, exercising and even surgeries! Yep, believe it or not, my good friend has seriously talked to me about a series of surgeries wherein the doctors take out a part of your stomach to make you eat less. Such surgery is risky, I know and so I made a little research on it to share with my good friend. Upon browsing the net, I have come across a site called My Surgery MD wherein I found a couple of information about the procedure that my friend and I were…

    Drunk Driving Lesson

I know a lot of people who drink and drive after spending the entire evening at a friend’s house and it scares me that most of them might be involved in car accidents in the future, or worse—being caught in act by the authority. Considering the fact that a person driving under the influence of alcohol is against the law, they might not be involved in a car accident (yet!) but they can be legally charged for DUI (driving under the influence) or DWI (driving while intoxicated) when they get caught by the police. While first offense only charges the offender a misdemeanor DUI, a repeated allegation would result to…

    Site Analyzer

This is going to be quite a boring and nerdy post, but trust me it’s really handy. So I got an e-mail from someone, perhaps a blogger, telling me to check this site out called StatMyWeb.com. I did, and searched for my website and it gave me a detailed info about my website including the date it was bought, where is it hosted, how much is it worth and where does it rank on the web. I find it really nifty since I get to know where I rank and what parts of the site I could work on to make it better. If you would like to check out this…

    College Tour 2012

I honestly did not anticipate on attending this school year’s college tour. For one reason, I thought it would be boring and childish, considering the fact that our itineraries were The Myth of the Human Body and Manila Ocean Park, add to that having my batch to share the bus with the annoying freshmen. I thought it would be the worst tour I and my friends would ever have, but I guess fate has once again changed all those sentiments. As usual. FIRST STOP : Myth of the Human Body – The Fort Our first stop was The Myth of the Human Body. At first, I thought that the museum would have something…

    I once dream of…

being a theatre actress. That dream started when I was in the sixth grade when I was asked by my music teacher to star as Mary Magdalene in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. It was really a nice experience, and exposure if you ask me. Even if my teacher literally dragged me to the first rehearsal. LOL. I carried that dream until I was in High School but eventually dropped it when I found out that writing and web design is my forte in life. But I still go to opera productions when I have the time these days, or when our school invite theatre groups to perform in our…

    Quand J’étais Chanteur

Sorry for the French title, but if you’re quite into films, especially French films you’d know that the title is from a French movie. The English title, if I am not mistaken, is said to be The Singer, or When I was a Singer. Meh. Sorry for the confusing information, so not an expert. 😛 The movie is written and directed by M. Xavier Giannoli and it stars Gerard Depardieu and Cecile de France, and yes, I watched the movie because I was fan girling over M. Depardieu. You can’t blame me though, he’s such a good actor, and his performance in the movie bagged positive feed backs from French…

    You’ll Never Know…

I still feel like crying after seeing the photo below early this afternoon. Credit: Mr. Dennis L. Santos You’ve probably saw it on the evening news tonight, the horrible accident that shook the entire town of Taytay, Rizal early this afternoon. A dump truck went out of control and eventually crashed into a police outpost, killing five people. I was with Mac and Abby in McDonald’s Valley Golf this afternoon having our lunch when it happened, and I’m not sure who told us of the news first, but Mac’s aunt sent him a message in Facebook asking for his whereabouts, apparently she heard of the news already (I don’t even…

    Segunda Mano 2012

I went to the mall with Mac this morning. It’s been nearly two years but we still haven’t watched a movie together in the cinemas so we decided to finally do it today, since we’re kind of getting tired of watching movies on computer screens. Ha-ha! We were planning to watch The Asiong Salonga Story, but the screening schedule is not until 6:30pm, so we opted for another movie instead. We chose to watch Segunda Mano since the trailer seems to be pretty nice, we figured that the movie is great. But that thought was cut short as the movie reached it’s first half-hour. Before we went in the theatre,…
