    All Nighters

June 6 is a Korean national holiday which means no work-day for us teachers, it also means we have a long weekend ahead and we kicked it off with a blast. My office mates and I had been planning this one for nearly a month and it was a success. What’s great was that it was payday last Thursday. LOL. With me were Brish, Arlien, Liz, Mark, Jaycel and, most unexpectedly, Kevin. We asked Kevin to come with us last Thursday night when he came by the office to pick up his paycheck. We were not really expecting that he’d come with us but he did and we couldn’t be…

Booze, Good Music and an Awesome Friend

This weekend would have not been the same if you didn’t ask where I was yesterday. I was surprised when you asked me to meet you at McDonald’s but I was also glad you did because I am getting a little bored drinking brandy with my parents and Mike’s parents and singing karaoke with my sisters and his sister. We’ve been doing it practically every week and though I look forward to seeing them, somehow, I feel like going out too and trying to find the company of my old friends.  Luckily, there was you.  You were one of the first few people whom I befriended (or rather befriended me)…

    Nowhere Girl

Is it goodbye for my domain name NowhereGirl.net already? To be honest, I am not sure. But I would really still love to have it renewed. I transferred back here in blogger because it has recently expired and I do not have the financial resources yet to renew it. For a person with a stable online teaching job, I am pretty broke and I think I need help LOL — but seriously. Well anyway, I am currently waiting for 8:30pm as I will be having yet another class. I honestly enjoy teaching Japanese students online, I have just found the perfect teaching job for me. It’s actually a dream come…

Pizza Date with My Baby Brother

Love is sharing a whole medium sized pizza. :)) Meet my baby brother, Patrick. He is the face you often see in my Facebook page and in my Instagram account (if you follow me, of course). He is four, and will be turning 5 on May. He is my little sunshoine. The reason why someday I wanted to have, love and care for children of my own. And this little guy is a pizza monster! Was able to eat three slices by himself! :))

    Licensed and Stuffed

Well not long after I found out I passed the board exam, my parents, with the aid of my ever loving aunties, threw a celebratory party for me at our quaint Korean restaurant here in Antipolo. It was celebrated last night, November 30 and practically all my family members were there; for the first time in months we gathered together and had fun as a family. But what really spiced up the event was that my darling hubby was there, together with his best friend, his mom (who also happens to be my mother’s bestest friend in the world), his dad and younger sister. One of my college BFF’s Abby,…

    Licensed and Rocked Out

The big news finally came out last Saturday evening, that was November 23. I am now a LICENSED teacher. I couldn’t be more happier and to treat myself, my good friend (and fellow board passer *wink wink*) May and I went to a rock show the following evening in Sucat. Well, the rock show was actually already a plan even way before the board result came out but knowing that we are licensed professionals made the rock show feel really special. So anyway, five of the country’s coolest rock bands played. Jejaview started the night with a refreshing sound, it was actually my first time to hear them play but…

    What’s Up?

Hey there! I just updated the site’s theme design as I have been in the mood to code these past two evenings. I have been quite busy and lazy these past few weeks due to managing the family business and because I have also been quite busy with preparing for job interviews. I recently just got interviewed for an online English tutorial company and just this morning I started with my training. The students I would be handling would be Japanese and the job is home based; it’s more of a part time than a real job, but who knows? I might do it full time once I’m officially accepted…

    Life After College

Nota Bene: This is part 2 of the two-part blog post about my life after graduation. 🙂 Well it took me longer than I expected to write this follow-up post and waiting for Mac to wake up is actually what made me continue writing this two-part post. Anyway, here’s another long and photo-spammed post. My Brother’s High School Graduation My younger brother graduated from high school last Sunday, March 24. The commencement exercises were held at the Henry Lee Irwin Theatre in Ateneo de Manila University and at that moment I swear I can feel tears forming in the corners of my eyes. I am so proud of my baby brother,…

    Bloggers.com Featured Profile

I was really surprised to have a couple of new foreign Twitter followers yesterday when I came home from church. I accepted their requests of course, but little did I know that my profile on Bloggers.com was already featured. It took me about two hours to finally see their tweets about me and well, as usual when I get shocked and excited, I screamed like a little girl–literally. So yeah, it rattled a couple of living things in this huge box and it may be a little embarrassing but I was just so in awe because I haven’t even accessed my Bloggers.com profile for weeks! Plus, I was not…

Ilocos, Wedding, Teaching Demo, Contest and Used Books

Well the title is really lame and blatant, sorry for that. I should really be sleeping now but I just really want to blog about the past three weeks. I know I should have blogged sooner, like right after I got home from the four day tour to Ilocos, but work load seemed to have piled up in an instant when I got back. So here I am, writing this late at night, powered by caffeine. This is going to be another lengthy post, so please bear with me since I tend to forget things easily that I just had to write everything down. Ilocos Tour I finally did it!…
