    Listen to Haruki Murakami

“Music is an indispensable part of my life. Whenever I write a novel, music just sort of naturally slips in…” Haruki Murakami A festival hosted by Japan Foundation Manila and the Japanese embassy, along with music/literature culture specialist, Jun-ichi Konuma, dedicated to the world-renowned Japanese author, Haruki Murakami, was held in various parts of Metro Manila since last February 27th. Last night, Friday, March 23rd, I was able to catch the last part of the festival which was Listen to Haruki Murakami – a concert with a repertoire of some of the music frequently cited in his novels. It was the best Friday night decision I’ve made in a long…

L’Oreal Launches Color Riche Velvet Pinks

I don’t know with you guys, but I always thought that L’Oreal’s Color Riche collection is just absolutely gorgeous! I honestly tried to complete the reds and plums, to my disappointment, for the shades I want are always out of stock.  Nonetheless, it won’t stop me from buying from the said brand especially now that they’ve released a new set of shades which are just as beautiful as the red, rich, and vibrant ones.  What’s great is that, this new addition to the said collection is actually pink! Beautiful hues of pink that are made to suit the Filipina skin tone. Yes! Shout out to my fellow Morena’s out there!…

    Maybelline Buy 2 Take 1 May 1 – 30 2016

The Philippines’ favorite makeup hub is having, yet another, buy 2 take 1 promo that will start today, May 1st and will last till the end of this month. Available in all Maybelline branches and kiosks.   Personally, I’m extremely happy they’re having another promo. Last time, they had an awesome deal on lipsticks that I might have hoarded a little. But who’s to blame? Maybelline, in my opinion, is the best cosmetics brand for the Filipina skin, and with reasonable prices, who wouldn’t dig this promo?

    Color Manila Run Blacklight Edition

My best friends and I decided to join a fun run last weekend, May 16th, in Filinvest Alabang. It’s the annual Color Manila Run but the Blacklight Edition. I wish I could write about it but the experience was a total bliss. And that’s all I can write about it, so I will let these photos tell the entire story. We all finished 6k in under an hour. The after party was a blast, too. I’ve never felt that carefree for a while. It was, indeed, a great night spent with my best friends.

Baby Fair 2015 @ Mega Trade Hall

I decided to have my brows groomed this morning so I got up and prepped up early. I was about to leave for the terminal when my good friend, Ge asked to meet me at the terminal. We then agreed to go to Megamall together since we’re heading the same way. Once we got there, we went up to the fifth level where we noticed that there was an event at the Mega Trade Hall. It was a baby fair and I was enthralled to see all the cute stuff on display. But I headed for Brow Lounge first to have my brows groomed while Ge went inside the Mega…

    Les Miserables 2012

That’s right, Les Miserables made it’s debut in the U.S. recently and I couldn’t be more thrilled as it would be coming to Philippine cinemas on January 16th. Les Mis is my number one favorite musical and novel of all time and I might have watched a couple of adaptations of it on film and television, and in various languages too. So you can say I’m a bit of a freak when it comes to it. It’s also a Broadway classic for decades now, making this year’s movie adaptation an even bigger hit. This year’s version of Les Mis stars Hugh Jackman as the ever famous ex-convict, Jean Val-Jean, the…

    Segunda Mano 2012

I went to the mall with Mac this morning. It’s been nearly two years but we still haven’t watched a movie together in the cinemas so we decided to finally do it today, since we’re kind of getting tired of watching movies on computer screens. Ha-ha! We were planning to watch The Asiong Salonga Story, but the screening schedule is not until 6:30pm, so we opted for another movie instead. We chose to watch Segunda Mano since the trailer seems to be pretty nice, we figured that the movie is great. But that thought was cut short as the movie reached it’s first half-hour. Before we went in the theatre,…
