Nowhere Girl Vlogs | Climbing Mt. Paliparan, Tanay, Rizal

Nowhere Girl Vlogs | Climbing Mt. Paliparan, Tanay, Rizal

Last June 24th, my work friends and I trekked Mt. Paliparan. We’ve been planning for it for nearly a month, and to be honest, excited though I was, the thought of trekking again after over a year of no rigorous physical activity frightened me. Nonetheless, it was an incomparable and unforgettable experience which I am grateful to have been a part of. To be even more honest, this was the first mountain I reached the peak of. My previous hikes…

Nowhere Girl Vlogs | I Had a Haircut!

Nowhere Girl Vlogs | I Had a Haircut!

Lately, I have been contemplating whether to cut my hair or not and I have finally decided to chop it off before my hike last June. Why? Well, I wanted to start doing things truly independently. I have been living alone for years, but I still consult my mom even with my smallest decisions. I know it’s way too deep for a haircut, but to me, it means the world. For once, I have become a little more fearless and…

Nowhere Girl Vlogs | What’s in my purse?

Welcome once again to my vlog! For my third entry: Earlier this month my good friend Aaron came by my flat, slightly drunk with a box of half-eaten (giant) burger that we tried to finish over brandy and a box of pizza. Here’s also a sneak peak of what my friends and I do at work when we should probably be working.

22 Prime, Discovery Suites

22 Prime, Discovery Suites

22 Prime is the perfect place to take one’s significant other on a special date night or anniversary. It is also the right place to seal business deals or enjoy a brunch with one’s family on a Sunday morning. Located on the 22nd floor of Discovery Suites in Ortigas Center, 22 Prime is a high-end steakhouse that offers mouth-watering dishes. Here are some of the dishes I’ve tried on my visit: For starters, we were served lobster bisque which is…

Leftover Mental Reflex

Leftover Mental Reflex

Perhaps it’s the smell of menthol filling the air that brought me back to where I was years ago, back to a time when we were sat right in front of each other. Your hand on my thigh, as you puff a cigarette from the other; a smile plastered on your face while my eyes locked with yours as if we were the only ones that mattered in the world. I looked down and breathed in. How could I have…

Nowhere Girl Vlogs | May of 2017

Nowhere Girl Vlogs | May of 2017

Welcome to my second vlog! As you can tell, it’s still short and I’m still trying to get the hang of it. For my second vlog entry, I’ve decided to make a compilation of the highlights of my May. To kick it off, I went to my first ever Zomato Foodie Meet Up with my good friend, Kevin, at Artsy Cafe, Maginhawa. Then my BFF, Kim, celebrated her birthday at my place; we swam, had pizza, and a sleepover. Lastly,…

Nowhere Girl Vlogs | Visiting Jam 88.3

I’ve been meaning to vlog for a very long time but decided against it though I continued to shoot every now and then. Plus, it means another commitment for me to come up with more ideas to feature which is gonna be a real struggle considering I live a pretty boring life. I was also worried about the editing, cause I suck at it more than I suck at producing content but then again everything takes time and practice and…

Ban Be Ca Phe, Antipolo

Ban Be Ca Phe, Antipolo

Ban Be Ca Phe is a Vietnamese-Filipino restaurant located at Upper Antipolo. This charming space is just a few meters shy from Robinson’s Antipolo and offers very affordable Vietnamese dishes. The cafe, technically, has three parts: a veranda, and inside a dining area at the right side and a traditional Vietnamese sitting area on the left side, which, in my opinion, gives so much Kumbaya vibes. LOL Kidding aside, I find the interior both creative and unique. I went here last May…

Coffee Book, Congressional Avenue

Coffee Book, Congressional Avenue

Coffee Book is located along Congressional Avenue in Quezon City. I went there yesterday with some friends I met at Artsy Cafe. I met some new friends too and had a blast. The cafe’s interiors were more of a restaurant type than the cozy and comfy cafe type that I was expecting. But true to its name, they have two tall built-in shelves filled with books of various genres perfect for bookworms.    Now to the best part: FOOD. Coffee…

On caring for a reptile…

On caring for a reptile…

It has been over half-a year since I last had a pet. My cat passed away in December, leaving me devastated. However, lately, I’ve been considering taking a pet in again but since pets are not exactly allowed in our apartment complex, I decided to look into a much quieter (and convenient) species for me to take home: Reptiles. However, taking care of reptiles is all new to me. Before I took Gomez (my cat) home, I’ve done tremendous research…
