As a child we are showered graciously with love and affection… Such is the case that love becomes a limiting act bound to a one-way cycle.
As we grow older, the supply of what once was overflowing decreases and so most people tend to lose themselves; running around, seeking love in the arms of someone else.
What the world once amiably gave becomes practically desolate. For we are only given such affection and taught to reciprocate it; but the world would have been completely different if instead of stopping at the reciprocation of the act, we are also taught to love ourselves, through our flaws and mistakes. For we are human, after all, and this world we are born alone and we die alone.
It is tragic to die without the people who loved you, but it will be more catastrophic to have died without loving one’s self.
