Latest Twitter Updates

I know that most of WordPress users struggle in finding a good plug-in for displaying their microblog updates since most of the plug-ins are hard to customize, and use. But either you’re using WordPress or not, this simple javascript code will work like magic in displaying your twitter updates on your webpage.

What you need to do:

1. First you must make your tweets Public. You may do so by logging in your account, going to settings and ticking the checkbox that says “Make My Tweets Public“.
2. Next, open up your webpage or sidebar on a text editor (e.g. Notepad) and insert the code below where you want your twitter updates to appear.

3. Put your twitter username where it says YOUR-TWITTER-USERNAME-HERE.
4. You may adjust the number of tweets to show by changing the number where it says count=5, change 5 to the number of tweets you want to show.
5. To customize your tweets, insert the following code on your style sheet and edit it to your preference.
   ul#twitter_update_list {list-style:none; margin: 0px; padding: 3px;}            ul#twitter_update_list li {list-style: none;}
6. Save your files and upload it to your site.
