Overcoming Fears

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned it before but I am Caulrophobic, and by that I mean I have a fear of clowns. It’s something that I got from watching too much of Stephen King’s movie called “IT” way back when I was about three or four years old, and I never looked at a clown without feeling tears stinging out of my eyes since then. I remember a couple of months back that my younger brother just found out what would actually make me cry, he searched Pennywise the Clown on Youtube and made me watch the nasty, creepy looking clown on purpose.

Oui, I cried. I cried like a five-year old and my little brother laughed, he seemed to be amused seeing his older sister crying over a clown. I guess people will never understand how it feels to fear clowns, but it’s really hard and quite embarrassing in my part. I tried looking for solutions for this certain problem of mine, and I only ended up with one–Watching IT again–ALONE. xD So in the past couple of weeks I’ve been looking over the internet for a copy of “IT”, and I’m not sure if “luckily” is the appropriate term to express my “luck” in finally finding a copy of the movie, but yeah, I found one and I downloaded it. I haven’t opened it since.

But tonight, I’ll try my luck of overcoming this embarrassing fear of clowns… I’m actually going to watch it alone, and I’ll try not to hide my face behind my blanket, my pillow or my hands. I just hope I won’t scream… everybody seemed to be asleep right now, considering that tomorrow is a Monday, I don’t want to wake the entire household up. But then again, I won’t have another chance in this, it’s now or never. After I watch it, I’ll definitely delete it though… unless I get over the fear quicker than I expected then perhaps I could manage to watch it for more than twice.
